AI Healthcare company Presagen, in collaboration with US-based IVF clinic group Ovation Fertility and Australia’s No.1 Fertility, presented its recent study of the Life Whisperer AI at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) 2021 Scientific Congress, June 2021.

In her talk, Dr Sonya Diakiw discussed results of this real-world study using prospectively collected data that showed that the Life Whisperer AI is highly correlated with known features of embryo development identified by embryologists using standard grading methods, but is superior in its ability to predict pregnancy outcomes. This study highlighted that the AI can identify and analyze complex patterns associated with embryo viability over and above what the human eye can detect.

Presagen’s Life Whisperer product helps IVF clinics select the best embryos to improve pregnancy outcomes for IVF patients. From a single image, Life Whisperer Viability assesses the likelihood of an embryo leading to pregnancy, and Life Whisperer Genetics helps to non-invasively prioritize embryos that are genetically normal (euploid). In addition to the improved accuracy of the AI for predicting pregnancy, and the ability to non-invasively evaluate genetic health, there are additional benefits to using this AI in the IVF laboratory.
